shareasimage In a community driven approach from Microsoft, the monthly Google Hangout session from the Azure Logic Apps team – sixth in the series – happened on December 3, 2015. We recommend you to read our earlier blog posts to understand the progress made by the Logic Apps team over the last few months. (July, September, October).

PowerApps

The important announcement from Microsoft over the last month is the PowerApps. PowerApps is an enterprise service for innovators everywhere to connect, create and share business apps with your team on any device in minutes. With PowerApps, any person in the organization can unlock business agility and create apps very quickly that will work on any device using a Microsoft Office-like experience. For more information on PowerApps, please read this blog post. PowerApps is currently available in Preview mode. PowerApps includes a great Logic Apps experience called PowerApps Logic Flows.

Monitoring in Logic Apps

The interesting update on the Logic Apps portal is the ability to perform monitoring on the Logic Apps. You can monitor your Logic Apps over few metrics (such as Run Latency, Run Rate, Run Success Latency, Run Success Percentage, Runs Cancelled, Runs Completed, Runs Failed, Runs Started, Runs Succeeded). Each of these parameters are are monitored on a time scale and plotted on a graph. All you need to do is to simply configure the parameters you wish to monitor, and enable the metrics (check box) so that you start seeing the insights as points plotted on a graph. The important update is that while setting up monitoring, you can choose your storage account so that all the metrics  (actions and triggers) are stored directly into your storage account as blobs.
