The First Impression – a Lasting Impression

Did I join the right organization?
Will I have a career growth in the organization?
Will I fit the culture of the organization?

Can you guess who would be encountering the above questions? you have nailed it right. Yes, the New Employees. Mind would start throwing many questions to them when they are heading for the assignment with the new employer. The curiosity shoots up especially on the day of joining.

Do you think only employees have such an experience? Employers too, but it is the other way round, they’ll be more of ‘How are we going to…..’ questions as stated below,

How are we going to make them feel that they are in the right hands?
How are we going to keep them productively engaged so that they don’t feel bored?
How are we going to add value to their career?

The above list of questions is not exhaustive on both sides.

The situation is inevitable. So, what is the way out?

BizTalk360 has come out with a ‘New Employee Induction Program’ which is a well-structured 1-day engagement with the new employees on the day of joining to instill confidence in them by proactively addressing the curiosity driven questions.

We took the pleasure of successfully launching the maiden ‘New Employee Induction Program’ on 01 June 17 at Coimbatore Office. The program was executed as per the plan and the feedback received from the participants were quite encouraging. Let’s begin the journey now.

The program had started with the ‘Welcome On Board’ activity led by Indhirani Rangasamy during which the welcome kit was distributed to the participants and all the joining formalities were completed. The program agenda was briefed and the agenda sheet was handed over to them for their reference. The basic rules were set to ensure the smooth execution of the program. There was a short tea break before the main session.

After a tea break, the participants were taken through a 2 hr 15 min session on ‘Know Your Company, Know Your Destiny’ by Balamano Ranjith Baskaran. During the first part of the session participants were briefed on the evolution of software product industry in India, the various stages of development, an introduction to iSPIRT, difference between a product company and a service company followed by the complete background of BizTalk360 starting from the evolution to the till date development; exposed to the powerful association of BizTalk360 with Microsoft / community activities – INTEGRATE, TECHMEET360, INTEGRATION USER GROUP, customer base, the cutting edge technologies and the development stack.

During the second part of the session, they were briefed on the ’Blueprint For Success’ – the importance of goal, goal setting methodology, the power of a written goal, 3Ps and their connect. During the course of the session, the participants actively involved in goal setting / break the barrier exercises. The first part of the presentation gave them the feeling that they have joined the right organization and the second part of the presentation has empowered them to start a meaningful professional journey. There was a 1-hr lunch break after the session.

After the lunch break, the session was handed over to the QA team; Saranya Ramakrishnan took the participants through a 1 hr 15 min session on ‘Roadmap For The Next 45 Days’, the session was continued by Boaz Prince George Raja for an HR. Post which, Mekala Ramesh had set the expectations for the participants followed by a photo session.

Finally, the program ended with the feedback session. The participants were completely engaged from the time they checked-in till the time they checked-out.

Quite happy to associate with BizTalk360; the program was informative and useful; overall the program has exceeded our expectations.

Their feedback has lucidly communicated the fact that they have got answers to all their curiosity drove questions during the course of the program which marked the overall success of the program.
