community contributionsWhen I started BizTalk360 back in 2011, I didn’t have any major expectations. All I wanted to do was do some fun work, enjoy what I’m doing and put 100% of my heart and soul into the product to make it a useful software. Over the last 5 years, we have grown organically without raising any external funding, year on year increasing our customer base (around 500 now), teams, offices, community contributions etc.. What I have seen/learnt over the years is, you need to have these three attributes “Skill, Hard Work, and Good Luck” to work together in order to be successful. They are mutually connected. Even if one is missing, the chances of success is less. Skill and Hard Work is controllable, whereas luck is not. I strongly believe you should always have some fear factor in life and do not take everything for granted. A good karma is absolutely necessary and lot of things in life are not in your control. The only way to gain some good karma is by being true to yourself (never fool yourself), and try to do the best you can to others. As a business owner, I might have taken some tough decisions, that’s purely in the interest of the big picture. For the last 5 years, since the start of BizTalk360, it becomes a tradition for me to donate to GOSH at the end of each year (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015). This year I donated £5000, a little contribution from our end to make life better for some of the unfortunate children who struggle for basic things in life. People at GOSH do incredible work to bring life to children and their families. You can see some of the stories here. They devote a lot of time and effort to make this possible. I’m proud to support them.
