We at BizTalk360, are not oriented towards a job but pursue a career. First half of 2014 is more like a roller coaster ride for us in terms of team building. We will focus on stabilizing our operational efficiency and provide world class support to our customers. Our team is a mix, we have veterans, seasoned professionals and fresh minds out of college daring to be successful. A roadmap is so important for a product’s success and so is the career plan for a professional. Skill development, personality grooming and career planning are not a one time definition but are evolving processes.
We wish to provide as many relevant possible opportunities to our team for their continuous development. Young minds at our recently started India operations attended a session on Career Crafting Strategies by an upcoming and enthusiastic speaker Sivakumar Palaniappan hailing from Coimbatore, India. Our team, besides heavy down pour around the start of the session, made it to the venue giving importance to its content and found the session extremely useful. The main theme of this power pack seminar was DREAM. DECIDE. DO. The speaker kept the audience completely engaged towards the theme by discussing inspirational stories of individuals who had a dream to solve- Walt Disney, Abdul Kalam, Arunachalam Muruganantham and founders of redbus.in The intention behind attending these kind of sessions is not only for the rich content but also NETWORKING. The more we learn the more we acquire knowledge, the more we interact with people the more we evolve.
Three key factors that will help us in pursuing the above thought are Knowledge, Skill and Ability. It was aptly discussed how we can make use of these factors in materializing our dreams. Back in our office, we had a quick catch up on this topic recently and our team mates who attended this session shared their observations to those who couldn’t make it. It was quite interesting and we had yet another good time for team collaboration.
To envision and have some clarity on a DREAM, one will need adequate Knowledge. To DECIDE on materializing the dream, one should acquire necessary Skills. To DO, act upon the dream and the decision, one should exhibit the Abilities.
Sriram Hariharan and Mekala Ramesh were so engrossed in this, that they came up with an innovative way of representing this theme. Those who can mix these factors appropriately and make use of them at right time to dream, decide and do, they become a STAR.
